Once again history has been made by one of our own.

Recently two of our Womens Artistic Squad gymnasts qualified to represent the South East at National Finals on the 8th and 9th of November 2019. Amelie Beadle-Gates qualified in the level 3 category and had a fantastic competition placing in the to 10 on 3 apparatus, 2nd on Vault, 5th on beam and 10th on floor . Amelie placed a fantastic 11th overall. To top it off the Level 3 South East Regional Team grabbed the bronze medal! This is the first British medal won by a Wickers gymnast. We are so incredibly proud of Amelie coming back from injury at the beginning of the year resulting in not being able to compete in her grades and having to retake her grades a week before National Finals.

Tanya Dipu qualified to compete in the level 4 category and performed well with a clean competition. Tanya placed 29th on the day and with her combined ranking from the National Finals at the beginning of the year she has made history as the first Wickers gymnast to hold a National ranking. Tanya is ranked 20th in Great Britain for her age. We are very proud of Tanya and her achievement this year and can not wait to find out what the next year will bring!
